“All successful retail starts with attracting consumers, and the shopping centers that succeed in doing so end up with satisfied customers,” says Peter Wissing, project manager for the study at Evimetrix. By analyzing what drives customer satisfaction and then working hard to excel in each aspect of the shopping experience, all shopping centers can strengthen their position and, in turn, their success, he continues.
Consumers are asked to rate about 15 different qualities in their respective shopping centers and retail destinations. The most important qualities for ensuring customer satisfaction are the variety of stores, the appeal of the design and premises, and the service and atmosphere. A high standard of quality in the stores also contributes to customer satisfaction.
